The scientific activity of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is a key component of its work. The academic and research staff of the School are recognized experts both in Ukraine and abroad.

The School has developed into a powerful educational and research center known for its interdisciplinary studies and innovations. Its researchers have published thousands of scientific papers and created hundreds of textbooks and teaching materials. Research results are regularly published in leading international journals, including those indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Every year, faculty members organize and participate in international scientific conferences, while the School’s departments serve as co-executors of research projects in neurology, internal medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, surgery, and other medical fields.

The School provides training for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) applicants in the specialty І2 “Medicine”. In 2019, the specialized academic council D 64.051.33 was established to conduct dissertation defenses in the following specialties: surgery, internal diseases, immunology, and allergology.

The School’s academic staff publish scientific journals indexed in Scopus, including:

These publications are included in several international scientometric databases, confirming the high level of scientific work conducted at the School of Medicine.
